#1

Hey everyone!

Thanks for reading our blog. I figured that I would start one to keep everyone updated, since we are moving. It will be easy for people to keep up with our wedding planning process too. I'm a blog rookie, so hopefully I will get better as I go.

So as everyone may (or may not) know, Dean and I are moving (suddenly) to Springfield, Ohio. Dean is going to start working for his dad. This an exciting, yet scary move. It will be nice to live someone new, as I have lived in Nashville the majority of my life. It will take some getting used to, as I am not very good at coloring outside of the lines. He is extremely excited about moving and it is a temporary move. My parents are not too thrilled about us moving away from them, but they will have to deal I suppose.

If things go according to plan, we will be all moved up there around mid-November. We do not know a specific date yet, but we are going there this weekend to find a place to live. Hopefully this will allow us to figure a date out.

Everyone has asked if we will be still getting married in Nashville, and the answer is YES! I wouldn't have it any other way! The date is October 2, 2010 and the ceremony will take place at the Cathedral of the Incarnation at 2 p.m. Here is a picture of the beautiful Catherdral. I have always DREAMED of getting married here and now it is coming true!

I have booked my photographer. She is Gina Bilyeu of Gina Bilyeu Photography and is absolutely fabulous! I had seen her work before, loved it, happened to meet her at the Elegance Bridal Gala that I was working at for Relish and loved her! Dean and I met with her, he loved her and we signed up! We are getting our engagement pics done soon and I am super excited!

So far, that is all that I have planned wedding-wise. Next up is finding a reception venue. This might be the most stressful thing (besides the dress) but we are almost a YEAR til the wedding. This past year has flown by so quickly. I also found my dream wedding dress...I saw "dream" because it's $8,000...every girl can dream, right? Here is it...it is designed by Elizabeth Fillmore. The picture of the shrug that I saw was tighter and not as loose as in this picture. The picture doesn't even do this dress justice. You cannot even see the pretty lace, long train and the beautiful satin knot in the middle! I love it!

I love weddings and working for Relish allows me to stay in the wedding business. I am so grateful for Stephanie Resch because she is allowing me to still work for Relish while in Ohio! I was so scared that I would not be able to, and that would crush me. Designing invitations is my dream and it makes it so much better that I love all the people I work with!

Well I gonna head to bed and read my awesome new book, "Waiter's Rant." I shall write soon!
